The ecosystem of Vivekananda Public School includes organizations and individuals that help us raise funds, make contributions on a regular basis or run programs for the all round development of our students. Some of our supporters are listed below. Note that the list in just a sample. Some of our supporters prefer to remain in the background, we are very grateful to them for their contributions.
Our school encourages students to train in extra curricular activities too. We work with other NGOs or like minded Institutions who impart the same without any fee.
One such place is Vibrant Art. Vibrant Art provides Art Education to children helping them explore their interest and unearths talent. It provides platforms to the budding artists for exhibiting their work, and also provides International exposure to these children who come from unprivileged backgrounds.
Our children brought in many accolades and prizes by participating in several painting competitions.
Our school does not get any aid from the government and has been functional for the past 35+ years because of the largesse of our supporters.
One of the benefactors of the school are the residents of the Aparna Sarovar Community. They have been supporting the school by providing items like books, bags, furniture, leggings and stationery for the students but their most critical contribution is in the form of provisions for the mid-day meal. Every month for the past 5 years they have been contributing about 6-7 days worth of rice, dal and oil that we use monthly to prepare lunch at school.
Zen Securities Ltd has been a generous donor to the school for the past 8 years. During their initial support they sponsored children in the “Sponsor A Child” initiative. The past 5 years, they have manifold increased their financial support towards the general operational expenses of the school. Without their crucial help, it would be very difficult for us to run the school.
VRSC Trust was one of the earliest supporters of the free mid-day meal at Vivekananda Public School. Their financial support during the first 10 years of the mid-day meal program ensured that the students received a nutritious meal --- thereby absenteeism dramatically reduced. As more donors came forward to support the mid-day meal program, VRSC Trust has started donating towards the general expenses.
